Have you read the book babywise? I am reading it right now and having finished it yet. But people swear by it that it helps you teach your baby how to sleep through the night. Maybe give it a try!

That's pretty nasty. Asher never slept (10 hours in a 24 hour period) but I don't think he ever woke so many time in one night.
Still beats seven. I really hope the 4 wake ups is a fluke for you though, I figure hey, if I'm not going to get sleep, at least someone ought to. :)
