I was still walkin...I was very active with Kiefer.. I was still walking Milo for hours after Kiefer's due date. I was 9 days late. So there may be some truth to that..

Also you could just keep working until your due date.. that way you extend as much of your mat leave as much as possible.. and if you have baby before your due date you just go off and start Mat leave that day.Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15228048580540012120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9131343068410053175.post-63682393678874397892009-10-17T16:38:37.939-07:002009-10-17T16:38:37.939-07:00Ha ha ...it is Jenn... not Jonathan posting this.....Ha ha ...it is Jenn... not Jonathan posting this...I didn't realize I was signed in under his email- you must have thought he was very invested in this whole topic, my thoughtful modern husband!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10668224019618645947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9131343068410053175.post-44655105632698772602009-10-17T16:37:45.151-07:002009-10-17T16:37:45.151-07:00um be me...
but I have to say maybe the extreme ...um be me...

but I have to say maybe the extreme is on both ends...be very ir OR be very fat and out of shape ala gain 90 pounds...

here is my 2 cents for you though...
What about not taking your mat leave until the baby comes- you can shock the same co workers that "looked on in h1n1 horror" when your water breaks at your desk! You will be uncomortable yes... and hate that last couple of weeks at work but what if the baby comes 2 weeks late, then you will have taken up a month of mat leave with no baby. Also becuase little jack was about the top baby weight you want, becuase of your unpleasent experiance last time...to the tune of a certain "snap"- you don't really want an 8 pound plus post term baby that will raise your risk of a c section- what about just saving enough money to get buy over the year for that 2-4 weeks and use up your vacation time/sick days?

Those are my thoughts...in the end...they come when they come and if you can get my baby to come 2 weeks early...bless you, and I will send out some 2 weeks late vibes!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10668224019618645947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9131343068410053175.post-32449751763884322932009-10-17T11:15:26.196-07:002009-10-17T11:15:26.196-07:00Hey Robin--
The thing I know about keeping babies ...Hey Robin--
The thing I know about keeping babies in there (I kept my twins two and a half weeks longer than anyone expected) is that you have to eat really well, and especially get enough protein. Seriously--like 90 grams a day. I was eating 145 grams for twins. Also, really pay attention to your body, and drink a LOT of water. The other thing that works (and it sounds silly, but I'm TELLING YOU, it works) is to tell the baby when you need him to come. Obviously, this only works as long as everything is ok with baby, but just keep talking to him, and tell him when your "two weeks late" date is. He'll listen more than you think. If you want to talk more, I'm on msn messenger at april 7 marie at hotmail dot com. Or, on gmail chat at aprilrosenthal at gmail dot com. Good luck--you can do this! :)Aprilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13889733881495156045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9131343068410053175.post-65420494614474438762009-10-17T10:57:17.964-07:002009-10-17T10:57:17.964-07:00OH, or you could ask http://babymakingmachine.blog...OH, or you could ask http://babymakingmachine.blogspot.com/

She's a member in the states and she is allllll about baby knowledge!Shop Girl*https://www.blogger.com/profile/07738681406180590822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9131343068410053175.post-2251458758593430152009-10-17T10:56:14.416-07:002009-10-17T10:56:14.416-07:00Eeek... as I've never had kids I'm not ver...Eeek... as I've never had kids I'm not very knowledgeable in this department.

BUT, isn't there something about how being super fit can cause the baby to arrive a bit later? I could be completely wrong, but I thought I read something once, and my sister is very active (exercise wise) and her baby was over a week late.

Moms? Any truth to this?Shop Girl*https://www.blogger.com/profile/07738681406180590822noreply@blogger.com
